Castle Green Fair
Explore military history history through the ages at our fair on Castle Green on Sunday 27th September: A fun filled fair and community day for the Hereford Military History Festival 2026, will be held on the Castle Green, with re-enactors, historic military vehicles, charity and memorabilia Stalls, food trucks, ice cream van, kids funfair and bouncy castles, artisan stalls, DJ Matt Healey, local entertainment and much more, creating a jam-packed feel-good family day out and showing support for our veterans. Our re-enactors will be setting up period villages on the green, Normans, Victorians, Vikings and Sealed knot will be entertaining you with displays all day
An Educational History Trail is being generated for families to engage in the day throughout the City and Castle Green.

Other Events
In addition to our main events in Hereford we are developing further events in Ross and Ledbury.
Herefordshire and the Royal Hospital Chelsea Ross-on-Wye Saturday 12th September: Commemorating Herefordshire's enduring links with the Royal Hospital Chelsea, we are collaborating with the Royal British Legion and the Royal Hospital, Chelsea to create a memorial event to be held at the RHC Memorial in St Mary’s Churchyard, Ross-on-Wye. The event will commemorate those Pensioners who died in the Ross area during the evacuation of Chelsea Pensioners to Rudhall Manor and Moraston House during World War 2.
Ledbury Convoy 5.00pm to 8.00pm Saturday 19th September: Historic military vehicle display, including WW2 US Army 'Hellcat' tank, SAS 'Pink Panther' Land Rover reproductions and extremely rare 1969-84 vintage "Green Dragon" SAS Land-Rover contemporary SAS Land Rover or equivalent vehicle, brass band, street food etc.
